Light flickers

Light flickers and I am feeling quite tired.

I wear my shoes on my bed. I wore the pants I wore out into the world yesterday as I slept. I brushed my teeth with hesitation, but still, I did it.

I felt the sun on my skin today. I feel it again now. Something is changing, many things are. I see how people have died in their other incarnations when I look at them. I see the scars that their ancestors have carried. I see the wounds they also have endured marked across their skin. I look, and in this seeing, I know. People approach me, and I feel all that they do not say. Their throat blocks, like phantom hands around the neck. I feel the pains in their hearts like sharp stabbing glass shards. I feel their slouched backs and tired feet. I feel their pain when they come to me. I do not even need to open my eyes. I feel it when they walk through the door. It shifts everything, and so, I immediately get to work. Finding that cool, calm, peaceful space. Deeply rooted, where I can breathe and breathe and breathe and gently guide someone back to their own healing, through finding their own center and finding their own empowerment to no longer let restrictive hands block their voice, or painful thoughts block their heart. To allow their feet to rest and their backs to straighten. I feel it all, as I walk through this world. I can think of someone and feel them, what they are going through, where they are at. It overtakes my body, until I find my own center again and rewrite myself at the center of my life and my existence. I feel animals and plants too, but most of them are full of kindness and wide hearts. Curiosity and innocence, deep wisdom and play. Us humans are all full of these things too, but the pains from when we have died before healing, or have been hurt in this lifetime still remain until we recenter in this moment and no longer allow the past to write our future story. It sounds daunting and it also sounds easy. It’s both, it’s neither. It simply requires a dedication and a focus on understanding one’s own unique essence and coming back to that time and time and time and time again. Knowing who you are, and knowing that everytime you reestablish this core, you are growing deeper into yourself. That truth within you that no one can take away, that brutal honesty and life-giving energy that flows through your blood. It is passion and it is drive and it is courage and it is power. It is love, for it sets us all free. It lets our deepest, wildest, most animalistic intrinsic natures be known, lived. Reversing the process of domestication within systems built to keep us locked in place, stagnancy, and complacency. The root, that core, that eternal flame within you, that burns, the howls, that screams, that sings, and dances and rests and makes sweet love to every part of your soul, it knows how to live, to laugh, to express, and to never hold back. This free part of you knows truth and wisdom and lives by the universal principles without doubt, without hesitation. Without fear. This free part of you knows that when you live as the core of who you are, uninfluenced by what we all have been expected to be, we can truly show up and serve each other and all, through the unique medicines within each of our veins and cells. Unique as we lock eyes and share courage and understand with a single stare. Powerful as we breathe an entire room into clarity. So entirely who we are and who we have always been meant to become. True harmony, honoring one another and one another’s experiences through direct knowing. Through understanding. Through empathy, and doing what we can to support and help and transform all things that keep any of us chained.
